Forming a Humanist Practice
August 13, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Christian Hayden
Ethical Culture Leader and PES member
Choosing to be Humanist can be a deeply private decision- one that many times, happens outside of community- it can be difficult to describe how one approaches one’s spiritual/ethical formation. How does one observe being a humanist or Ethical Culturist? How do we form a community that is at once accepting, but theologically/ethically sound? How do we also ensure it is not an elitist, ableist, or Eurocentric endeavor? Christian will share his own approach to carving out his humanist practice.
