Book Discussion – These Truths: A History of the United States (Ch. 1-4)

Henry Louis Gates Jr. calls Harvard Professor Jill Lepore’s most recent book an “epic work of grand chronological sweep, brilliantly illuminating the idea of truth in the history of our republic.”  Hugh Taft-Morales leads the first of four explorations of this work to better appreciate our history as a nation.  The September discussion will focus on “Part One: The Idea (1492-1799)” (Chapters 1-4).  Free and open to the public.  If you read the book, come help lead the discussion.
