Owned and operated by the Ethical Humanist Society of
Philadelphia, Camp Linden is located near West Chester,
Pennsylvania, about an hour's drive from Philadelphia. We
provide a summer day camp five days a week for six weeks
from early July to mid-August without cost to low-income
inner city children from Philadelphia. In 2012, 225 children,
ages 7 to 12, participated. An average of 35 children
attended each day. Campers were enrolled in eight summer day
camp programs conducted by Education Works (4 schools),
Community Concern 13, and three townhouses (Haddington,
West Poplar and 8 Diamonds).
